Dr. Springfield began his career in Orthopaedic Oncology in 1978 and has extensive experience with the surgical management of chordoma. During his career, the management of chordoma has improved markedly from being a tumor treated only by surgery to one treated by a team of oncologists from different disciplines.

He has seen the team approach dramatically improve the management of this difficult disease. Dr. Springfield will continue to see patients with chordomas in consultation for the foreseeable future and will be available to assist other surgeons in the operating room.
