Giving Blood As A Donation
Giving Blood
Blood Donor Center at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MADonating blood and platelets is one of the easiest ways to make a difference in a patient's life. The actual process of giving blood takes approximately 30 minutes.

During chemotherapy and radiation both cancer cells and healthy cells are destroyed, so patients need platelet transfusions to prevent bleeding or to fight infections. Blood Mobile at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA

By donating one unit of blood can help as many as three patients.

  • Hours for donations
    • Tuesday - Thursday from 7:30 am - 5:30 pm
    • Friday from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
