We are engaged in a large-scale cell line based screen of anti-cancer agents that are in various phases of clinical testing (pre-clinical, entering clinical trials or have been approved for use in treating cancer patients). Cell lines in this screen are simultaneously undergoing genome-wide molecular profiling at the DNA, RNA, and protein levels with the ultimate aim of identifying predictive biomarkers of drug response and resistance. A recent publication outlining this approach can be found in Proc. Natl. Acad, Sci. USA 104(50):19936-19941.
The selected individual will join a highly motivated, collaborative, and multi-disciplinary team and will provide bioinformatics and computational biological expertise in analyzing this significant data stream. We seek a highly motivated and independent thinker with a PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Bioinformatics, significant familiarity with statistical computing tools, strong interpersonal skills, and a track record of collaborative work in a multidisciplinary research environment.
