Allison J. Applebaum, MA, is a study interventionist, independent assessor and research assistant in the behavioral medicine service at Massachusetts General Hospital. She is a doctoral candidate in clinical psychology at Boston University. Her clinical and research interests include the neuropsychological sequelae and psychosocial aspects of HIV infection, behavioral medicine, mood and anxiety disorders, and factors that impact the therapeutic alliance.

Jessica Solis, BS, is a research assistant in behavioral medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. She received her undergraduate degree in Human Development from Cornell University in 2007. Currently, she works with Dr. Joseph Greer on his study "Brief CBT for Anxiety and Cancer" and with Dr. William Pirl on his studies "Symptom Management Trial in Cancer Survivors" and "Collected Repository of Symptoms." Her clinical and research interests evolved from her undergraduate honors thesis entitled "The Effects of Ethnicity on Adolescent Resilience against Depression." Jacqueline Bullis, BA, is a research assistant in behavioral medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology at Boston University in 2008 where she wrote her honors thesis on the effects of stereotype threat and power on affect and emotional experiences. Her clinical and research interests include mood and anxiety disorders as well as gender and sexuality. She is currently assisting Dr. Steven A. Safren on the study “CBT for Depression and Medication Adherence in HIV+ Methadone Patients.” Jackie plans to pursue graduate school in clinical psychology after her time at Massachusetts General Hospital. Luis Serpa, BA, is a research assistant in the Behavioral Medicine Program at Massachusetts General Hospital. He received his undergraduate degree in Community Health from Brown University in 2007. He is currently working with Dr. Steven Safren on his studies "CBT for Adherence and Depression in HIV+ Methadone Patients" and "CBT for Adherence and Depression in Diabetes." His clinical and research interests lie in health disparities among minority populations in the U.S. After his time at MGH, Luis plans to attend medical school and also pursue a degree in public health. Jesse Wilkinson, BS, is a research assistant in behavioral medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. She graduated from the University of Michigan in 2008, with a concentration in Brain, Behavior, and Cognitive Science and a minor in Gender and Health Studies. During her undergraduate career, she conducted research exploring the stress response and emotion regulation in preschool-aged children, cross-culturally. Her research interests include: anxiety disorders and the experience of trauma, particularly in underserved populations and in international contexts. After her time at Massachusetts General Hospital, she plans to pursue a doctorate degree in clinical psychology along with a degree in public health. Christine Cooper-Vince, BA, is a research coordinator in the Behavioral Medicine Service at Massachusetts General Hospital. She received her bachelors degree in Psychology from Connecticut College in 2007, and currently works with Dr. Steven Safren and Dr. Susan Sprich on the study “Efficacy of CBT for Residual ADHD in Adults.” Christine’s clinical and research interests include the diagnosis, treatment, and progression of externalizing behavior disorders. Jared Israel, BA, is a research assistant in the Behavioral Medicine Service of the Psychiatry department at Massachusetts General Hospital. He completed his BA in psychology as well as biology & society at Cornell University.
