Lara Traeger, Ph.D. is a post-doctoral fellow in the Behavioral Medicine Service at Massachusetts General Hospital and a clinical psychology fellow in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Traeger received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL. Her research interests include psychological aspects of chronic disease management across the adult age spectrum, with a particular focus on cancer. She is currently collaborating with the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine and the MGH Cancer Center to develop and test psychosocial intervention strategies for adults undergoing cancer screening and treatment. She is also a study therapist on a number of randomized controlled trials of CBT to treat mood, anxiety and medication adherence in different chronic illness populations
