The mission of the Sims Lab is to improve patient safety and care processes by bringing multidisciplinary engineering skills to bear on real clinical problems. We do this by joining extensive clinical expertise with talented electrical, mechanical, software and systems engineers.  We work in the specific areas of wireless and mobile computing, medical device-IT integration, indoor positioning systems, AutoID, physiological monitoring, sensor networks, vision systems, and patient-connected fluidics. We support ourselves primarily through licensing royalties generated from our inventions.
