Minter Becomes Anesthesia Chief at CHA

Dr. Ronald Minter has been promoted to Chief of the Department of Anesthesiology/Medical Director of Perioperative Services at Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA).
Previously, Dr. Minter was interim chief of anesthesia at CHA. Mass General has provided anesthesia services at CHA since 1985.
In the new role, Dr. Minter will continue to work on various projects, including:
- Improving first-case start times
- Improving turnover times
- Documenting airway management
- Installing a QI data program to track interoperative problems
In addition, Metavision, Mass General's automated anesthesia recordkeeping system, just launched at CHA. The department is training anesthesiologists on the new system, he said.
Dr. Minter said he's "happy" and "excited" about the new role, and looks forward to hiring new staff within the department.
"I think we've got the right people lined up in the right places," he said.
