Professional Activities
My research is entirely clinical and deals mainly with the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of opioids and sedative hypnotic drugs. Some studies have also focused on the use of bispectral EEG analysis to measure anesthetic drug effect. Some studies are based in the operating rooms, and some are carried out in volunteers using the General Clinical Research Center. Studies have involved undergraduates, medical students, residents, fellows, and staff.
