The Center for Pain Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital is made up of professionals from numerous disciplines working together to deliver comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for individuals with acute, chronic, and cancer-related pain. Coordinated consultative services are available for those who are hospitalized as well those referred for evaluation in the ambulatory setting. We focus on early evaluation and intervention in efforts to minimize the development of chronic, disabling pain. Our team aims to assemble an individualized and comprehensive plan for optimal pain treatment that will allow each person to return to an optimal level of function in his or her work and personal life.
