White Building Anesthesia Team

This team covers a wide variety of surgical procedures. Procedures include minimally invasive via a transurethral approach for such problems as bladder tumors or kidney stones; laparoscopic surgery primarily for operations on the prostate or kidney; and incisional surgery for radical urologic procedures. Some laparoscopic procedures are performed with assistance from surgical robots under direct surgeon control. Other procedures include those related to urinary incontinence or male infertility. This wide case variety means some operative days are dedicated to caring for one to two patients, while on other days, clinicians may care for up to six patients for operations having less physiological impact. Some patients on this service have multiple medical co-morbidities, while others may undergo diagnostic and minimally invasive procedures on a repeat basis.

The Gynecological Anesthesia service provides perioperative care to women having non-obstetric surgery. We strive to provide excellent anesthetic care that is individualized to each woman's unique requirements.
