Programs:

Summary

The MGH Psychiatric Neuroimaging Research Program is comprised of approximately one dozen independently funded faculty-level investigators, focused on a broad scope of research topics. Generally, the goals of the Program include the following: A) to employ neuroimaging techniques to advance our understanding of brain function in health and disease; B) to develop innovative clinical applications of neuroimaging to enhance diagnosis and treatment of patients with neuropsychiatric disorders; C) to facilitate the cost-effective utilization of neuroimaging tests in psychiatric populations; and D) to train staff and students in the clinical and research applications of neuroimaging. These research and training acitivities unite numerous collaborators across neuroscience disciplines, and exploit a full complement of neuroimaging technologies (e.g., positron emission tomography, morphometric MRI, functional MRI, and magnetoencephalography (MEG) as well as optical imaging methods and ERP). The general organization of The Program is provided below along with links to individual laboratories as well as contact information for their respective directors.
