Medical-legal issues arise frequently in modern health care, at both individual and institutional levels. LPS staff members are available to review specific cases as well as institutional policies from a clinical perspective. Our goal is to help clinicians understand the impact of the legal system on their work, promote clinical risk management, and facilitate collaboration between health care professionals and their own legal counsel. We have extensive experience in assessing physicians and other professionals in distress, examining these problems from both individual and organizational perspectives.
