Directions
By MBTA:
You can reach us from the Charles/MGH stop on the Red Line, or the Government Center stop on the Green Line, or North Station on the Orange Line, or Bowdoin Station on the Blue Line.
From the Red Line, exit the train at the Charles/MGH stop and follow the signs towards Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). You will exit onto Cambridge Street. Continue on Cambridge Street for about 5-6 blocks. You will first pass the main campus of MGH on your left, then a Holiday Inn on your left. Continue on Cambridge Street, and at the top of the hill (there will be a church on the left) take a left onto Staniford Street. The DCRP is located at # 50, on the left. Go to the 4th Floor, and follow signs for MGH Depression Research.
From the Green Line stop (Government Center), exit towards the left out of the station and walk up Cambridge Street, away from Fanueil Hall. Boston City Hall will be on your right. Walk 3-4 blocks, and then take a right onto Staniford Street (there is a church on the corner of Cambridge and Staniford Streets). The DCRP is located at # 50. Go to the 4th Floor, and follow signs for MGH Depression Research.
The Blue Line stop (Bowdoin) is on Cambridge Street, on the way from Government Center to our office, so just follow the above directions from the Green Line stop.
From the Orange Line stop (North Station), exit to the right out of the station and walk towards the Fleet Center. At the Fleet Center, turn left and walk down Causeway Street. When you reach an intersection (with TGIFriday's on the corner), turn left and walk up Staniford Street. The DCRP is located at # 50. Go to the 4th Floor, and follow signs for MGH Depression Research.
From the Commuter Rail (North Station), take a left once you exit the track and exit North Station (passing the Dunkin Donut stand on your left). Take a left once outside North Station, and then take a right once you reach the street (do not cross the street). Follow this street up until you reach a large intersection with TGI Fridays on your left. Cross this street and continue up Staniford Street. You will pass a Lil’ Peach store and a Domino’s Pizza on your right. The DCRP is located at # 50, on your right. Go to the 4th Floor, and follow signs for MGH Depression Research.
By Car:
FROM THE WEST:
- Via the Mass Turnpike, take the Cambridge/Allston exit
- Bear right after the toll booth
- Turn right at the first set of lights onto Storrow Drive
- After approximately 5 miles, take the Government Center exit
- Follow the signs to Downtown and Government Center, proceeding up Cambridge Street. Do not turn left into the rotary, instead proceed straight up Cambridge Street
- At the first set of lights, take a left onto North Grove Street and park in the Fruit Street Parking Garage (near the main entrance of Mass General Hospital)
FROM THE NORTH:
- Via Route 93 or Route 1, take the Storrow Drive exit and proceed along the Charles River for 100 yards, getting into the left lane
- Take the Government Center exit off Storrow Drive
- Follow signs to Downtown and Government Center, proceeding up Cambridge Street. Do not turn left into the rotary, instead proceed straight up Cambridge Street.
- At the first set of lights, turn left onto North Grove Street and park in the Fruit Street Parking Garage (near the main entrance of Mass General Hospital)
FROM THE SOUTH:
- Via Route 3/93N (Southeast Expressway), take the Storrow Drive exit and proceed along the Charles River, getting into the left lane
- Take the Government Center exit off Storrow Drive
- Follow the signs to Downtown and Government Center, proceeding up Cambridge Street. Do not turn left into the rotary, instead proceed straight up Cambridge Street.
- At the first set of lights, take a left onto North Grove Street and park in the Fruit Street Parking Garage (near the main entrance of Mass General Hospital)
WALKING TO 50 STANIFORD FROM THE PARKING GARAGE:
- Walk back out to Cambridge Street, turn left and walk up Cambridge Street
- Walk about 5 blocks up Cambridge Street, passing by the Holiday Inn and the shopping plaza on your left hand side
- At the top of the hill, at the set of lights, turn left onto Staniford Street
- We are in a large white office building on your left side (# 50). We are located on the 4th floor. Please follow the arrow for MGH Research
