Janet Wozniak, MD

Dr. Janet Wozniak is Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. She received her medical school training and Cornell University Medical College and completed her adult and child psychiatry training at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). Dr. Wozniak is the Director of the Pediatric Bipolar Disorder Research Program at MGH and has been the recipient of research funding from the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), the Stanley Foundation, the National Alliance for Research in Schizophrenia and Depression (NARSAD) and the Prechter Foundation. Dr. Wozniak's research focuses on the characteristics, longitudinal course and treatment of pediatric bipolar disorder. She is a member of the Professional Advisory Council of the Child and Adolescent Bipolar Foundation. Her 1995 paper on childhood mania is one of the 10 most cited papers ever to be published in the Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Wozniak is the author of dozens of scientific articles on the topic and is regarded as a national expert on pediatric bipolar disorder.
