FACS Aria (sorting)

The Ragon Institute Imaging Core hosts a high speed cell sorting facility. Our FACSAria IIu cell sorter is housed in a biosafety cabinet in a dedicated BL2 room so that we are able to perform sorts of biohazardous samples. Please refer to the MGH biosafety website for hospital guidelines. The typical configuration is below.

Scheduling Sort Time

Please read our Sorting Guidelines first!

The sorting schedule can be viewed at www.schedulebook.com, a username and password are required to access the calendar. The "Guest" login information is in the Sorting Guidelines document linked above and in the calendar instructions found on our "Core Documents" page..

To reserve sorting time, please email your requested time and a 2nd choice along with a completed Sort Request Form (you can find Instructions here) to parcfacs@partners.org. You will NOT be able to add events to the sorting calendar yourself.

Default configuration

*note that most RFPs are not efficiently excited by 488 and only very bright signals will resolve

Rates
All sorting is billed at $100 per hour. There is no user-run sorting.
