Lewis B. Holmes, M.D. is the Director of the AED Pregnancy Registry. He is the Chief of the Genetics and Teratology Unit at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He also serves as the Director of Genetic Counseling and Screening Services at MGH. Dr. Holmes is a board certified Pediatrician and Geneticist. He graduated from Duke University School of Medicine and completed his residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital.

Dr. Hernandez-Diaz is an Assistant Professor of Epidemiology and Director of the Pharmacoepidemiology Program at the Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Hernandez-Diaz joined the AED Pregnancy Registry team in October 2006. Dr. Hernandez-Diaz's areas of research have been drug safety evaluation from observational data, with a special emphasis in the analysis of patterns of use and safety of drugs during pregnancy. She received her M.D. from Autónoma University of Madrid, and her M.P.H. and Dr.P.h. from the Harvard School of Public Health.

Caitlin R. Smith, M.P.H joined the Reigstry in January 2003. She is the Senior Manager at the Registry, overseeing all research operations. Caitlin also serves as the Director of Marketing and Communications for the Registry. She received a Master of Public Health degree from Boston University School of Public Health, and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from Mount Holyoke College. She enjoys playing golf and tennis in her spare time.

Aileen Shen joined the Registry in March 2006 as a Research Assistant, and is now the Clinical Research Coordinator (since August 2007). Aileen received her bachelors in Neuroscience and Behavior from Mount Holyoke College in May 2005, along with a minor in Complex Organizations. She is a certified EMT who enjoys running in her spare time, and her future plans include returning to school.

Marcie Rome joined the Registry as a Clinical Research Assistant in June 2007. She graduated from Amherst College in May 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology. Marcie has recently worked as an Infection Control Research Intern for the Department of Medicine at Denver Health Medical Center. She enjoys the outdoors and plans to attend medical school in the future.

Martha Furtek joined the Registry as a Clinical Research Assistant in August 2008. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biopsychology from Tufts University in May 2008, where she was also an All-American soccer player. She recently worked for New England Scores, a program designed to empower inner city boys and girls through soccer, writing, and theater arts. In the future Martha plans on pursuing a PhD in Physical Therapy.
